Bricklayers & Masons
Dispatch brick, block, stone and restoration calls, then keep the jobsite file with the member.
Bricklayer and mason locals dispatch members onto new ICI work, heritage restoration, stone and specialty masonry. The hall has to match the call to the member’s classification before a signatory contractor’s start time.
Classifications include bricklayer, block, stone, restoration, refractory or industrial masonry and apprentice work, with different rates and tickets for new construction versus heritage or high-temperature work.
Members move among signatory contractors and jobsites, often on short elevations or restoration phases, so the out-of-work list, last classification and scaffold or restoration tickets have to stay at the union.
Representation typically covers hours and travel, whether a member was assigned restoration or new-work rates, scaffold and weather practices, and manning with labourer tenders under the agreement.

A contractor asks for a name-hire on a restoration elevation that the list rotation would not have sent first.
The dispatcher records the name-hire against Hiring Hall rules and the member’s classification.
The out-of-work list stays honest for the next call, and the job steward on site has the crew list.
If name-hires cluster on one contractor, Reports give officers something to take to the signatory meeting.

Keep dues and any strike-fund activity on the same member records.
Know who is current on the tickets a call actually requires before the dispatcher sends them.
Run the strike vote and see turnout by contractor, ticket and list status.
Turn the same lists into picket and hall-duty assignments if the vote carries.

Built for masonry locals that dispatch by specialty, represent members on short elevations and bargain with signatory contractors.
