By Role

Staff Representative

Hired to service the local: the table, the arbitration brief, the seniority list — not a second President and not the steward on the floor.

Union Software is built for the collective bargaining economy — the local, the unit, the hall, the board — not for an employer HR stack. For a Staff Rep the value is the servicing file: the round, the late-stage case, the list, scoped to the locals you are assigned.

How the week runs in the software

Grievances & Cases holds the arbitration file. Bargaining holds the register. People holds the seniority list. Filters keep assigned locals separate.

The software answers the next date on the file, the current language, a list that matches the unit, and which assigned local is due this week.

Arbitration prep in a bright meeting room.

How Union Software helps

Bargaining is a round, not a briefcase

Unit, agreement, committee, proposals, sessions, costing, member-ready updates. Committee strategy stays separate from what the local may send.

Arbitration is still a case

Grievances & Cases carries type (including arbitration), the member, the article, notes, files, deadlines. The file does not stop at “referred.”

The seniority list is People

Unit, classification, status, dates. You do not accept a spreadsheet the office cannot regenerate.

Comparators sit in Agreements

Searchable articles across the agreements the union has filed — not a pile of PDFs in email.

Assigned locals are filters

People, cases, and reports scope to employer, unit, worksite. You service more than one place without three logins.

The file that left the floor

The local referred the matter. Hearing dates, counsel, and the brief now matter. The steward’s notes must still be there.

  1. Open the case as the arbitration (or late-stage) type your union uses — same record, next procedure.

  2. Confirm member, employer, worksite, and the articles already cited.

  3. Add hearing dates and responsibilities on the timeline so the next date is not only in counsel’s calendar.

  4. Generate or export the working document from the case so the brief starts from checked facts.

How the software handles it

Round on Bargaining

Proposals, sessions, and the agreement sit on the round.

  1. Open the round.
  2. Read status and article.
  3. Keep strategy restricted.
  4. Share only what permissions allow.

Seniority from People

Classification and seniority fields are on the member.

  1. Filter to the unit.
  2. Use current fields.
  3. View only what the file needs.
  4. Keep People as the source.

Accommodation case type

Grievances & Cases holds a protected file.

  1. Open that case type.
  2. Keep medical documents restricted.
  3. Assign the servicing lead.
  4. Report status without opening those notes.

Local filter

People, cases, and votes filter by assigned local.

  1. Filter to the local due this week.
  2. Open that local’s files.
  3. Keep other locals scoped closed.
  4. Roll up counts only when allowed.

Get Started

Questions they actually ask

How do I keep assigned locals from mixing?

Filter People, cases, agreements, and votes by local, unit, and employer.

How does the table open the current round?

Bargaining holds proposals, sessions, and the agreement. Committee strategy stays on the restricted lane.

How do I pull a seniority list that matches the unit?

Filter People to that unit and use the current classification and seniority fields.

Where does an accommodation file live?

On a protected case type in Grievances & Cases. It does not have to be a contract-interpretation grievance.

How do labour-board dates get stored?

As a case with dates, people, and documents. The product does not file at the board.
